Get To Know Your Data

Know Your Data

By understanding what personal data is, who can use it, and where it's stored, you can take steps to protect your privacy and ensure that your personal information is being used ethically and responsibly.

What is data?

Data is often generated any time you swipe, click, slide, or otherwise breathe on your phone.

The data you create, literally makes up who you are. It is stored and processed to better understand how to extract money from you.

So in some sense, YOU are being processed by companies all over the world.

Without Friction is committed to being transparent about the data you create for us and how we use it.

Who can use it?

Your data can be used by a variety of entities, including companies, government agencies, and even individuals.

Companies use your data to personalize their marketing or conduct research.

Government agencies use your data for law enforcement, national security, and "other purposes".

Individuals can potentially use your data for fraudulent or malicious purposes.

Where is it?

Your data can be stored on your devices, in the cloud (Google, Facebook, Twitter, any website you've used: they likely have a database), and on servers owned by third-party companies.

Some companies may store your data in multiple locations or even across multiple countries.

It's important to understand where your data is being stored so that you can make informed decisions about who you share it with and how it's being used.

Use your data your way

You'll decide what data we use to better serve you. This comes at a cost. Since we do not secretly collect information about you to sell it to companies like Google, we charge a small fee for our services.

This is a reminder that if a service is free, you are the product. At Without Friction, we would prefer to provide you with a service without Ads, without hiding information from you, and without Google tracking your every move.
